  3. CPIC is being used under license for this CD-ROM only.
  4. This software WILL NOT work on any other CDROM in your
  5. collection unless you purchase a license from Photodex.
  6.

  8. Windows '95 (tm) Microsoft - INSTALLATION HINTS
  9. ===============================================
  10.  
  11. 1) Go to Desktop Display and change resolution to 
  12.    640x480x 16 million colors (or as many colors
  13.    as your system supports). Remember the old setting!
  14.  
  15.    CHANGING RESOLUTIONS in WINDOWS '95 (tm)
  16.  
  17.    a) Choose START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, choose
  18.       DISPLAY, SETTINGS, DESKTOP AREA which is next to
  19.       COLOR PALETTE, slide bar with move all the way to
  20.       left, You will now see 604x480. Use the mouse to
  21.       change the COLOR PALETTE to the highest number of
  22.       colors available.  Click OK.
  23.  
  24. 2) DOUBLE CLICK on MY COMPUTER to open the window of drive icons.
  25.  
  26. 3) DOUBLE CLICK on your CD-ROM drive icon to open the window of files
  27.    and folders on the CD-ROM.
  28.  
  29. 4) DOUBLE CLICK on the SETUP icon to start the CPIC installation. 
  30.  
  31. 5) Once CPIC installs, click YOUR CD-ROM drive letter.
  32.    You should see all the directories which store
  33.    the images. Click on any directory and then click on
  34.    SHOW to start a slideshow.
  35.  
  36. 6) The quickest way to learn CPIC is to go to "Contents" option,
  37.    in the HELP menu. Click on "Quick Looks" section. Read
  38.    getting started guide, and read the "Tips Of The Day"
  39.    each time you start CPIC.
  40.  
  41. 7) When done viewing this CDROM you may go back and change the
  42.    resolution back to the previous setting if you like.

  46. Windows(tm) 3.11 MicroSoft - INSTALLATION HINTS

  49. 1) Change the video resolution to 640 x 480 x millions of colors
  50.    (or as many colors as your system will support).  Every
  51.    video card is different and many come with utilities for
  52.    changing resolutions, so consult the instructions that
  53.    came with your video card or computer.  Alternately, you
  54.    can try the following:
  55.  
  56.    a) In the MAIN PROGRAM GROUP, DOUBLE CLICK on WINDOWS SETUP.
  57.       Choose OPTIONS.  CHANGE SYSTEM SETTINGS. DISPLAY.
  58.  
  59.    b) WRITE DOWN the current Driver selection!
  60.    
  61.    c) Change video setting to 640 x 480 x millions of colors
  62.       (or the largest color selection available).  Not all drivers
  63.       displayed will be compatible with your system.  The
  64.       system may restart Windows.
  65.  
  66. 2) Install CompuPic.
  67.  
  68.    a) In PROGRAM MANAGER select FILE. RUN.
  69.       Type D:\SETUP or substitute the driver letter of your
  70.       CD-ROM if it is not D.  Click OK.
  71.  
  72.    b) CPIC will install itself on your hard drive and an icon will
  73.       be created for you to run CPIC in the future.
  74.  
  75.    c) You may set the video card back to previous setting
  76.       when done viewing the CDROM. A directory will be
  77.       created on your hard drive for the CPIC software.

  96. We have included a self-extracting Zipped copy of GDS from Photodex.
  97. This shareware program lets you view a limited number of files from
  98. our CD-ROM.  We highly recommend that you register it.
  99.  
  100. To install GDS from any DOS prompt:
  101.  
  102. 1) Make a directory on your hard drive called GDSCD
  103.    Change to your hard drive - The do the following:
  104.  
  105.    Type------> CD \ (press enter)
  106.    Type------> MD GDSCD (press enter)
  107.    Type------> CD \GDSCD (press enter)
  108.  
  109. * You should see C:\GDSCD> on screen - CONTINUE if you see this!

  111. type D:\DOSVIEWR\GDSFILES
  112.      ^

  114. where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

  117. 2) To START: Type GDS to start. Follow the on screen
  118.              prompts for installation & configuration for video
  119.              card.
