CPIC (CompuPic) (tm) HELP Instructions:
CPIC is being used under license for this CD-ROM only.
This software WILL NOT work on any other CDROM in your
collection unless you purchase a license from Photodex.

Windows '95 (tm) Microsoft - INSTALLATION HINTS
===============================================
1) Go to Desktop Display and change resolution to
640x480x 16 million colors (or as many colors
as your system supports). Remember the old setting!
CHANGING RESOLUTIONS in WINDOWS '95 (tm)
a) Choose START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, choose
DISPLAY, SETTINGS, DESKTOP AREA which is next to
COLOR PALETTE, slide bar with move all the way to
left, You will now see 604x480. Use the mouse to
change the COLOR PALETTE to the highest number of
colors available. Click OK.
2) DOUBLE CLICK on MY COMPUTER to open the window of drive icons.
3) DOUBLE CLICK on your CD-ROM drive icon to open the window of files
and folders on the CD-ROM.
4) DOUBLE CLICK on the SETUP icon to start the CPIC installation.
5) Once CPIC installs, click YOUR CD-ROM drive letter.
You should see all the directories which store
the images. Click on any directory and then click on
SHOW to start a slideshow.
6) The quickest way to learn CPIC is to go to "Contents" option,
in the HELP menu. Click on "Quick Looks" section. Read
getting started guide, and read the "Tips Of The Day"
each time you start CPIC.
7) When done viewing this CDROM you may go back and change the
resolution back to the previous setting if you like.

Windows(tm) 3.11 MicroSoft - INSTALLATION HINTS
===============================================
1) Change the video resolution to 640 x 480 x millions of colors
(or as many colors as your system will support). Every
video card is different and many come with utilities for
changing resolutions, so consult the instructions that
came with your video card or computer. Alternately, you
can try the following:
a) In the MAIN PROGRAM GROUP, DOUBLE CLICK on WINDOWS SETUP.
Choose OPTIONS. CHANGE SYSTEM SETTINGS. DISPLAY.
b) WRITE DOWN the current Driver selection!
c) Change video setting to 640 x 480 x millions of colors
(or the largest color selection available). Not all drivers
displayed will be compatible with your system. The
system may restart Windows.
2) Install CompuPic.
a) In PROGRAM MANAGER select FILE. RUN.
Type D:\SETUP or substitute the driver letter of your
CD-ROM if it is not D. Click OK.
b) CPIC will install itself on your hard drive and an icon will
be created for you to run CPIC in the future.
c) You may set the video card back to previous setting
when done viewing the CDROM. A directory will be
created on your hard drive for the CPIC software.

We have included a self-extracting Zipped copy of GDS from Photodex.
This shareware program lets you view a limited number of files from
our CD-ROM. We highly recommend that you register it.
To install GDS from any DOS prompt:
1) Make a directory on your hard drive called GDSCD
Change to your hard drive - The do the following:
Type------> CD \ (press enter)
Type------> MD GDSCD (press enter)
Type------> CD \GDSCD (press enter)
* You should see C:\GDSCD> on screen - CONTINUE if you see this!
type D:\DOSVIEWR\GDSFILES

where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
2) To START: Type GDS to start. Follow the on screen
prompts for installation & configuration for video
card.
